Gatherer To Release On Red Tape Records
Red Tape Records Announce First Release
Red Tape Records, a newly formed Melbourne-based label, has announced its first release. The label is the first foray into the record game for Melbourne company Clockwork Artists and will focus on a diverse range of rock releases.
Gatherer‘s new album So Be It will be the first record to receive the Red Tape stamp and is slated for May 7th.
Relocating to Australia from NZ, Gatherer haven’t wasted any time. Releasing Regular Frontier, the first single from So Be It in late 2011, the band headed out on a national tour with The Getaway Plan before returning to put the finishing touches on the album. The band have also released a video for new song ‘Sinister’, filmed at the Hi-Fi Bar.
Following Melbourne shows with sleepmakeswaves and Coerce in Feb/March, it’s back on the road with The Getaway Plan for a string of shows in QLD, NSW and VIC, kicking off on March 15th.
Gatherer will also appear at the Red Tape Records Launch Party at The Workers Club on February 11th. As well as celebrating the label, the free all-day event will also play host to Melbourne acts Damn Terran, On Sierra, High Tea, Udays Tiger, The Dooms & Coins.
Following the release of So Be It, Gatherer will be touring the album nationally in June.
